Coast Guard Public School (CGPS) is proud to announce that its students delivered exceptional performances in multiple district, zonal, and state-level sports tournaments during the 2025 academic year.
The school’s athletes demonstrated remarkable talent and perseverance, securing top positions across a diverse sport. The CGPS Girls Football Team secured 1st position in the Asmita City League which was held on 22 Mar 25, and the team also secured 1st position in the State Level Pre Subroto Mukherjee Football Championship (U-17) organized by the department of Youth Affairs and Sports, DNH & DD. Subsequently, the team represented DNH & DD in 64th edition Subroto Cup International Football Tournament 2025 conducted at New Delhi from 17 Aug – 23 Aug 2025. The U-15 and U-17 Boys Football Teams bagged multiple victories at the Pre-Subroto Mukherjee Championships and Invitation Open Football Tournament 2025–26, further establishing the school's dominance in football. CGPS also celebrated individual success with Mst. Ansh Tiwari winning the Gold Medal in boxing at the CBSE South Zone-II Tournament in Nagpur. Now the student is representing school for CBSE National Games. In addition to football and boxing, CGPS athletes excelled in other disciplines, including Taekwondo, Table Tennis, and Volleyball. Students secured top spots in the Daman District Inter-School Taekwondo and Table Tennis Tournaments, with Dhairya H Tandel and Chaitanya N Ukey winning 1st and 2nd places in the U-17 and U-14 categories, respectively. The school’s Girls Volleyball Team also secured 2nd position at the Nariyali Purnima Women’s Volleyball Competition, further reinforcing CGPS's commitment to holistic sports development. CGPS students secured notable positions in the Daman District Inter School Chess Tournament (U-14 Boys) organized by the Department of Youth Affairs & Sports, Daman, by achieving 2nd and 5th positions. CGPS secured the 3rd position (Group 3 - Classes 11 and 12) in the Rev. Fr. Anton D’sa Memorial 24th Interschool Quiz Competition organized by Mother of Hope School Ashadham on 12 Aug 2025, wherein 29 schools participated all over Silvassa, Vapi and Daman. Additionally, CGPS students secured notable positions in the Daman District Inter School Chess Tournament (U-14 Boys) organized by the Department of Youth Affairs & Sports, Daman, with Advitya Manikyala achieving 2nd place and Ishan Amit securing 5th place. These achievements reflect the school’s dedication towards nurturing young talent, supported by the tireless efforts of the Physical Education Department, coaches, and the encouragement of parents and school management.
