President Visit

The Honourable President of India Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam made a memorable visit to the Coast Guard Public School on 01 Dec 2002. The Honourable President was presented a grand welcome to the school and was greeted by the parliament of the school and was escorted by school children into the school.

He was found enthusiastically interacting with the young students asking them about their dreams and aims about their future. He was also great in motivating them with a list of Do's and Don'ts to achieve their goals.

The vibrant energy among the children was spread throughout the school and the people of the press who wanted to get a glimpse of the most beloved and respected President. The school also ensured that the interaction with children acted as a great sense of motivation for all the students of the school.

Through his speech the President ignited the young minds and his inspiring words had a clear impact on the children who were listening to him ardently. The school children too, had wonderful memories for the President to take back.

He was presented with a beautiful artistic rendition in the form of a wonderful glass painting made by the school children based on the President's own poem 'My Mother'. The President was also extremely happy to hear a soulful musical recital of his own composition which was eloquently sung by the school choir group. Both the gestures were appreciated by the President with great gratitude.

After endorsing his motivational remarks in the school's visitor book, the school bid farewell to him with a great sense of respect. The twinkle of joy coupled with a sense of enthusiasm and motivation was visible among the CEEGEEPIANs.

His words had a lasting impact on the staff and his humility left an indelible mark on everyone's minds and hearts. It was a great honour for the school to host one of the most honourable, respected and humble personalities of our times. It was indeed a memorable day for the entire fraternity of Coast Guard Public School, Daman.
