The Directorate General of Recruiting (DGR), Indian Army organized a three-level National Quiz Competition for students of Grades IX to XII.
The objective of the quiz was to spread awareness about the Indian Army among students and to recognize and reward the best teams. The event was conducted in the presence of honourable representatives of the Indian Army. In this nationwide competition, 36 schools were selected from various states and Union Territories. Our school proudly represented the Union Territory of Daman, Dadra and Nagar Haveli for the first time from the entire Daman region. The school team consisted of *Master Aditya Chauhan (Grade 9A)* and *Master Yashwardhan Singh (Class 11A-Maths). The students were accompanied by their teacher and Quiz Coordinator **Ms. Shwetha Menon* to Lucknow. The Zonal Round of the competition was held at the *Indira Gandhi Pratishthan* on *8 February 2026*. The team competed with participants from *Puducherry, **Leh-Ladakh, **Chandigarh, **New Delhi, and **Jammu and Kashmir*. Among the 36 competing teams from different zones of country, six advanced to the finals. Although our team did not qualify for the final round, their performance and participation were commendable. All zonal participants were appreciated and awarded digital watches and goody bags as a token of recognition. It was a proud moment for our school to participate in this prestigious national event for the first time from Daman. The students and the school look forward to participating again next year with renewed determination and hope to bring home the trophy.
