Coast Guard Public School Excels at Pre-Subroto Cup District Level Football Tournament 2026 Daman, 26 June 2026: Coast Guard Public School (CGPS) delivered an outstanding performance in the Pre-Subroto Cup District Level Football Tournament 2026, organized by the Sports Department, Daman, from 23rd to 26th June 2026 at Moti Daman Football Ground.
The school participated in three categories: Under-15 Boys, Under-17 Boys, and Under-17 Girls. The tournament showcased exceptional talent, teamwork, and sportsmanship displayed by the CGPS players. The Under-17 Boys Team emerged as District Champions, defeating Machi Mahajan School 1–0 in the final. The Under-17 Girls Team also secured the District Championship with a convincing 2–0 victory over Machi Mahajan School. The Under-15 Boys Team finished as Runners-up after a closely contested final against Father Agnelo School, narrowly losing 6–7. Several CGPS players received individual honours for their outstanding performances: * Best Goalkeepers: Sai Shubhalaxmi and Sumbiti Magraj * Best Defenders: Anamika Yadav and Devshree * Best Scorers: Tina Chaudhary and Bhavani * Best Players: Tina Chaudhary and Bhavani With their remarkable performances, the Under-17 Boys and Under-17 Girls teams have qualified to represent the Union Territory in the UT State-Level Pre-Subroto Cup Football Tournament. The teams were guided by Mr. Jignesh Patel (Boys Coach) and Ms. Pinky Darji (Girls Coach), whose dedicated coaching and continuous support played a significant role in the teams’ success. The Chairman of Coast Guard Public School, the Officer on Special Duty (OSD), the Director, and the Principal congratulated all the players and coaches on their outstanding achievement. They appreciated the dedication, discipline, teamwork, and hard work displayed throughout the tournament. They also conveyed their best wishes to the Under-17 Boys and Under-17 Girls teams for the upcoming UT State-Level Pre-Subroto Cup Football Tournament, expressing confidence that the teams will continue to bring laurels to the school and excellent performance.
